Thanks
for your interest in our RE-NEW-IT
System,
used by vehicle mechanics
for easy renovation of steering
and suspension joints, and
other swivel joints found
in all wheeled vehicles.
Designed, developed, copyrighted
and manufactured in South
Africa, the RE-NEW-IT
System has
been tried and tested, in
renovating all suspension ball joints.
Virtually any design
of suspension ball joints, as
used on all wheeled vehicles
can be renovated. Joints with rubber
inside can be repaired,
but with additional work
to remove the rubber first.
The system is used successfully
on motor cars, trucks, buses,
tractors, forestry construction
& earthmoving equipment,
military, industrial and
mining equipment, forklift-trucks,
and cranes ball joints.
We launched
this interesting yet simple
repair method, 11 1/2 years
ago here in South Africa.
It has helped our many agents
(system owners and applicators)
both here and overseas,
to make excellent profits
(&/or savings), in return
for a really low capital
expenditure. At the same
time it has saved lots of
money for their many thousands
of customers. And this has
been from areas of business
in which their workshop
is (usually) already working,
so, no additional marketing
costs. These details are
also available on our internet
website www.renewit.co.za
The RE-NEW-IT system was
designed to overcome the
problem of marginally worn
suspension and steering
joints on all types of wheeled
vehicles, to keep them in
a safe, roadworthy and driveable
condition, (at least in
that part of the vehicle).
Similar joints found on
other equipment can also
be renovated. Use of the
RE-NEW-IT system should
be considered as an innovative
and practical cost saving
method for all vehicles,
in on-going maintenance
programmes.
We now have agents in
23 countries around the
world, including South Africa
to Egypt, Kenya, Zambia,
Botswana, Angola, Zimbabwe,
Lesotho, Mauritius, Moçambique,
Namibia, Malawi, as well
as Australia, Israel, Bulgaria,
USA, UK, Russia and the
Seychelles. Our most recent
system owners are from as
far a-field as Novosibirsk,
Khabarovsk, and Vladivostok,
(in Russia), it is now also
in Jamaica (West Indies),
Kyrgyzstan, and about to
go to the Philippines, and
West Africa.
Our system uses the only feasible, properly
engineered method, available for
this type of repair.
The RE-NEW-IT System is
used by companies and individuals,
such as wheel alignment specialists,
tyre suppliers, all vehicle
workshops, roadworthy workshops,
in-house workshops, large
fleet owners, mines, military,
government, as well as out
on site by travelling mechanics
and so on. Repair is only
done on MARGINALLY WORN joints,
NOT totally worn out ones,
so the judgement of the mechanic
is important. The operating
principle has been in use
for many years, in the form
of plastic extrusion and moulding
equipment, and so the technology
and the raw material are well
proven.
It is important to use only
our well proven, Hi-Compression,
‘Hi-Tech’ RNT124
polymer, supplied in sticks
50mm long. It is specially
formulated with compression
strength up to 18000psi (about
1240kpa), torsional strength,
up to 12000psi (about 800kpa),
it has a dry lubricant included
at manufacture, and has a
constant melting point. Our
RNT124 material will take
the impact and other stresses
to which it will be subjected
in this application, it is
not affected by oils &
grease, nor ozone etc, &
can be guaranteed for as much
as 100 000 Km (+/-62,500 miles)
in motor cars, depending on
the area, use, and type of
vehicle, roads etc.
Users tell of joints
on cars going over 100 000km
(on made-up roads), freeway-type
truck king-pin repairs going
well over 300 000km, over
18 months for king-pin repairs
on heavy logging trucks (on
bad dirt roads), and over
two years for agricultural
tractor joints, so it is important
to use only the original RNT124
raw material.
Using the specially developed
tooling and our method, the
molten polymer is injected
into the joint through a newly
drilled grease-nipple hole
under high pressure. Once
injected, the polymer becomes
an exactly fitting, greaseable,
high compression capability,
impact absorbing bush which
has in effect, taken over
the job no longer done by
(now slack) inner springs,
wear, etc. It now fully supports
the ball (in ball joints)
over nearly half of its circumference.
It is also possible to do
the repair more than once
on the same joint, provided
the joint is properly checked
again initially. It is left
as a greasable joint, which
it probably wasn’t before.
One stick of RNT124 polymer
(15 dia x 50mm) will repair
about 3 to 4 tie-rod ends,
or 2 to 3 ball joints (depending
on the size of the vehicle
& its joints), so polymer
raw material usage is not
high.
With the ‘normal’
replacement method of repair,
stripping must be done to
fit the replacement parts,
and the labour and parts bill
is therefore much higher,
unnecessary with the RE-NEW-IT
System. The work is done quickly
(only 10 to 12 minutes per
joint when done on the vehicle,
or less than 10 minutes when
done on the bench), so vehicle
“turn-around time”,
(through the workshop) is
therefore substantially improved,
(very important with commercial
and military vehicles). On
construction equipment and
other heavy vehicles, or industrial
applications with large joints
to be repaired, additional
thought might be necessary
to decide on the best, most
effective place to inject
the polymer, described fully
in the comprehensive instruction
book with the kit.
The vehicle owner/user should
achieve a cost saving of 50
to 80% (and sometimes much
more), of what it might have
been by replacement. At the
same time, there are excellent
profits (or savings) to be
made (80 to 120% +) for the
sub-agent (the applicator
or mechanic), which makes
the whole process a ‘Win-Win’
situation. Our leaflet, and
the website, show typical
designs of swivel joints used
in vehicles, and where the
polymer is injected. After
repair, the ball (in a ball
joint) is now supported by
the new polymer over nearly
half of its circumference,
giving far better support
than the (usual) standard
design in these joints, and
it is left greaseable when
finished, which it probably
wasn’t before; better
shown in our colour leaflet.
To summarize then; most
repair jobs can be done in
less than 10 to 12 minutes
per joint on the bench (once
you know what you are doing),
or 12 to 15 on the vehicle,
usually without stripping.
One does not have to purchase
(and wait for) expensive spares,
to the benefit of both the
vehicle owner and the applicator.
The complete RE-NEW-IT system
The complete RE-NEW-IT system,
or kit, (after 11 1/2 years
on the market), is priced
at US$975.00 F.O.B. South
Africa, (+ vat where payable,
+ shipping). The kit can usually
be shipped or delivered, within
24 hours of your confirmation
and payment. We give a six-month
guarantee on this equipment,
fair wear & tear excepted.
The complete kit includes
the necessary items of more
specialized equipment needed
to do the job, supplied in
a strong steel toolbox, and
includes an initial supply
of 20 of the RNT124 polymer
sticks. Other items are detailed
in the parts list in the instruction
book, and total weight of
the (standard) kit is about
10Kg. This price also includes
all the necessary training
and on-going support. However,
it does not include normal
workshop equipment, like a
small air compressor (8 to
10 bar [125 to 150psi] pressure);
a jack (or car lift); a hand
drill; quick disconnect air
line couplings; an air blow
gun (for cooling); and a grease
gun (for the high temperature
grease); which most workshops
will have anyway. If you do
need any of these items, we
can of course supply at extra
cost.
There is a black &
white leaflet, with this letter
(in English), which is aimed
at your buying customers,
& intended to help you
(the agent) to get your marketing
going, when required. Just
put the name & address
of your business at the bottom,
cut in half, & use it
as a ‘street-corner-flier’.
Our colour leaflet will be
sent separately for your information.
In South Africa where we
do countrywide advertising,
when we get an enquiry for
a repair to be done in a particular
area, it is passed on to the
closest agent (part of the
service included in the full
price). In the comprehensive
instruction manual with the
kit, there is also a complete
parts list, as well as retail
pricing suggestions. We are
available for training your
applicator/s, and have done
this all over the world via
telephone, fax & email.
The simple instructions must
be followed, and only our
high compression RNT124 polymer
should be used, for confidence
in your work and for ‘guarantee-able’
results.
The suggested retail repair
price list in the instruction
book (in US$ & S.A.Rand)
is designed to help you set
your own prices. Actual charge
is up to agents (users) in
their own area, which is a
measure of the difficulty
of the job, joint size, useage
of the vehicle (on or off
prepared roads), type &
age of vehicles in the area,
and the alternative replacement
cost (parts etc).
A recent comment by a long-term
user (of about 9 years) of
our RE-NEW-IT System, was
interesting. He bought our
kit, and an on-the-vehicle
disc brake skimmer at the
same time, and he says that
the monetary return from our
kit is many times that from
the disc skimmer (and yet
the skimmer is very much more
expensive, up front).
I hope to hear from you soon,
and I am always available
to answer any queries.
